Throw Away a Drill Bit—We Dare You! |
|
|
Go ahead. Pitch the bit ... and then walk away. We're betting you can't do it.
Many of us will stare at the trashed bit momentarily and then pick it up, thinking that, after all, it's wasteful. Plus, it still looks sharp enough to do one more job. Then we throw it in a coffee can — and buy a new one when we tackle another project.
You don't need to do this drill-bit dilemma. Just sharpen your dull ones. Not by hand, which is painstaking, but with a Drill Doctor. We've used this line of bit sharpeners for years, and in this economy it's smart to restore the tools you already own. So here's a brief look at Drill Doctor's lineup of four bit sharpeners:
- DD350X — value-priced sharpener for the home shop
- XP — sharpens bits up to ½-in. to a 118-degree point angle
- DD500X — sharpens a range of bits, including split points and 135-degree bits
- DD750X — top of the line sharpener, sharpens bits up to ¾-in.
