AC Alternatives — Is Light the New Cool?
Raise your hand if you've ever traded looks and performance for comfort in your street machine. Exactly. No hands down on this one, and outside of suspension, the engine compartment is where you probably started tearing out "extra" wires, hoses, shrouds and brackets to give yourself a good view of that gorgeous horsepower generator.
The guys at TPIS are one of us and decided cracking the window open at 150 mph is a better form of air conditioning than the factory had in mind because it saves 30 pounds of excess weight and looks a whole lot cleaner.
Their search for a solution over years of track time produced a billet aluminum A/C Compressor delete kit that works with your factory belt routing. It's easy to install and can handle the high rpm's your new air conditioning system will likely require.
