July 30, 2009 Industrial Strength Polyurea Garage Floor Coverings
You may have Polyurea and not even know it. We're not talking about the stuff you picked up on shore leave or in Las Vegas (because what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.)
Once you get Polyurea there's no getting rid of it, and that's what makes it so great. It's the key ingredient that makes things stick, resist contaminants and flex with the material it's bonded to. Polyurea is the material used in spray on truck bed liners to resist salt, oil and gas without flaking or peeling and a company called Rock Solid Floors has introduced it in a "Do It In One day" consumer kit for your garage. They lead the pack with a 5 year warranty on their top coat package which is well after some products from big box stores begin deteriorating, but it's biggest draw may be the ease of use and dry time. Four pages of videos walk you through the simple process of prep and application while their exhaustive FAQ section will answer all of your questions. Have a look at Rock Solid Floor's website and see how you can get your own case of Polyurea.
