July 7, 2009 Water Based Paint That Goes Up In Flames
The bad news: You won't get a raging buzz from Auto Air Color's new water-based non-toxic, base coat paints. The good news: the cleanup is easier and you'll save your precious few remaining brain cells.
Candy-pearl finishes and sparklescent colors are making their way onto metal canvases thanks to Auto Air Colors full line of 147 colors that don't require any hardeners, reducers, or catalyzers - no mixing is required. These water based paints can be masked with regular automotive tape, and covered with any urethane automotive clear coat so there's no special materials to buy, just the paint. TCP Global is making that pretty easy as well with big discounts on their color kits. Some of their popular kits include pre-selected colors for laying down flames in blue, purple, green or realistic color tones. You'll also find full size stencils, instructional videos and step by step books on the same page to get you started. Now's a great time to try painting flames when you can keep it simple with water based auto paint.
