June 16, 2009 Nice Threads Buddy
Ask a car guy and a teenager to define the term "threads" and you're sure to get two very different answers. For fashion-conscious youngsters, it refers to clothing, but to street machine enthusiasts, threads are the grooves and protrusions that effectively fasten screw-in devices and their counterparts.
Just as the threads in your favorite T-shirt can wear out, so can those found on automotive parts. Luckily, you can fix stripped internal threads yourself with the ThreadMate available from Lee Valley. (Your holey T-shirt, on the other hand, is probably headed for the rag pile.) What makes the ThreadMate great?
