What's New in Oil Filters?
There are plenty of uses for dirty motor oil but extending engine life isn't one of them.

We all know you want contaminants out of your engine's lifeblood, but do you know about some new technologies making that happen? Fram has developed a new "Tough Guard Filter" with synthetic glass and cellulose media to offer six times the engine protection of a standard filter.

Tough Guard filters also have a silicon anti-drainback valve that protects your powerplant by retaining oil when the engine is off, giving you a full liter at start-up and a screen covered bypass valve that gives back-up filtration during cold start-ups.

Maybe Fram's High Mileage filter is better suited to the needs of your street machine that has spent some years on the road. Its Time Release Technology system allows an additive gel to be infused into the oil with every pass through the filter.

When you consider that kind of technology, along with a $4 rebate when you purchase any pair of Fram air and oil filters, you have a winning combination.

Their Part Look-Up tool provides cross-referenced part numbers for several retail stores, making it easy to upgrade your oil filter today.
