January 20, 2009 Cut the Crud
Winter isn't going to leave without a fight as the aftermath of salt, mud, ice, and snow get smeared across your windshield. If the current wiper blades on your daily driver aren't cutting it, clear the battlefield with a stronger, high tech edge.
What's so high tech about wiper blades? Well, Bosch Icon blades don't have the brackets, joints, and hinges found on conventional wipers that freeze up in fowl weather. They hold their tension from a piece of sprung steel that applies even pressure across the whole blade. There's even a video to explain it. They have an aerodynamic wind spoiler design that prevents liftoff, forcing the blade snug against the windshield through its range of motion at highway speeds. Even the blade materials have been engineered to contain softer compounds in the body to reduce friction chatter with a harder edge that scrapes through frozen materials and still lasts up to 20-percent longer. Use this handy guide to find the right fit for your vehicle and get a map of places to purchase in your area.
