Your Gas Is Bad
Unless you're smart enough to live where winter means put a sweater on if it's cloudy, you'll be spending January with your street machine parked, praying for global warming.

When your car sits unused during the winter it gets cranky just like you and could use some liquid stabilizer. Gasoline is made up of organic ingredients that degrade over time into gummy varnish materials that are deposited throughout your fuel system as the gas is burned.

Simply removing all the fuel from your system can be tricky business. You have to drain and blow-dry all the fuel lines, carbs or injectors, and then you run the risk of condensation in your gas tank, which leads to rust.

Experts say gas is good for three months, but with fuel stabilizers like Sea Foam or Sta-Bil, your fuel won't start breaking down for 15. If you're storing your ride longer, or buying a dormant one to restore, the safest bet is to fill the tank with fuel to prevent rust, use a stabilizer, and then replace the old gas with a fresh tank before the first start.

You can buy stabilizers almost anywhere, so why not pick some up today?
