Clecos: An Extra Set of Hands
Scratching your posterior, holding the bottle, changing channels, and picking your nose? Maybe gripping the bacon double cheeseburger, salting the fries, cueing up the shake, and taking a call? Ahh... the things we could do if we had four hands.

With the advent of clecos, you can stop wishing and start welding. Clecos are a fast and easy way to hold pieces of metal in place temporarily, giving you perfect fitment while you fire up the welder.

Leaving only an 1/8-inch hole behind, these fasteners are easily applied and removed with their own specialized tool, and can be reused many times over. A variety of kits are available online or at your local auto body supply store. You can start the hunt with Eastwood, where $37 will get you a set that comes with ten clecos, a compression pliers, and two side-grip fasteners for edges. Each fastener provides about 20 pounds of holding strength and has a grip range of up to 1/4-inch.

If you're welding, screwing, or riveting pieces of metal together, clecos are a great way to have an extra set of hands...so grab some today.
