October 14, 2008 4th Times a Charm: '59 Caddy
There's a lot of ways to build a classic Cadillac and Stephen Hurlbert had to take the long way around to get his perfect. When all was said and done he had four cars invested in his gorgeous Caditour.
This cruising vessel had 325 horsepower to push around it's almost nineteen feet of post war steel when it sailed off the assembly line nearly fifty years ago. Stephen not only brought the ponies up to 534 with the help of a Street & Performance big block, he also incorporated a custom frame, Wilwood Brakes and Air Ride suspension to make this red sled ride as good as it looks. The tasteful blend of form and function continues with Dakota Digital instrumentation throughout the dash and an Ididit steering column crowned with a Grant "Banjo" steering wheel.
