The Ultimate Golf-Travel Blog |
|
|
Noted golf-travel expert Edward "Ed" Schmidt Jr. recently debuted his new blog, called The Golf Travel Guru, to help golf-loving travelers.
Golf-travel tips, money-saving suggestions, destination overviews, opinions and on-location, up-to-the-hour posts are main features of the blog. As an example, check out Schmidt's recent post about where Tiger Woods might go on vacation. The ever-engaging Schmidt lets you decide: "If you were Tiger, where would you go?"
Widely recognized as one of the industry's foremost experts on golf travel, Schmidt has authored three books and written more than 2,000 articles and columns. Schmidt is travel editor for PGA TOUR Partners Magazine and golf editor for Corporate Meetings & Incentives Magazine.
In a 24-year career, Schmidt's research treks for golf-travel stories have taken him to obligatory golf meccas like St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach. He's also hit exotic locales around the world like China, Kenya, Tunisia, Morocco, the Canary Islands, Bermuda, Argentina and Yugoslavia.
So, if you need some golf-travel advice or just want to read some entertaining golf writing, this is your blog.
Schmidt covers courses where caddies are the rule. |
