Easy-to-Hit Alternative to Long Irons |
|
|
Cobra Golf is a pioneer in utility metal woods, having launched the original Baffler in 1975. For the next 20 years, Cobra's reputation was centered on the Baffler utility metals.
Cobra Golf now has its latest generation of utility metals, the King Cobra Baffler TWS. The company says a Triple Weighting System (see video) adds a third weight to increase the moment of inertia (MOI) and lower the center of gravity (CG).
Key Quote 1: "The Cobra Baffler has been the best-selling utility on the market since March of 2006," says Brian Zender, general manager of Cobra Golf. "The new Baffler TWS is designed for players seeking a versatile, easy-to-hit alternative to long irons."
Key Quote 2: In this latest generation, "We've lowered the CG location to create a slightly higher launch angle, and we've increased the MOI for even greater forgiveness and consistency across the entire hitting area," says Tom Preece, vice president of Cobra club research and development. "The face area has also been made slightly larger to drive higher ball speeds on off-center hits. And the contoured sole design ensures the Baffler's unique blend of forgiveness, playability and versatility."
