Racin'
Here's where you can play great golf and get your racing fix.
Daytona Beach, Florida
Home to the Daytona 500 (mid-February) and the Coke Zero 400 every July 4th. There are 20+ "name" designer courses to choose from, including championship layouts at LPGA International and Victoria Hills in Deland.
Phoenix, Arizona
With nearly 200 courses dotting the desert, this area is one of the world's great golf destinations. For racing enthusiasts, Phoenix International Raceway hosts the Subway Fresh Fit 500 in mid-April and the Checker O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 in mid-November.
Las Vegas, Nevada
The city once known for Dino, Frank and Sammy now hosts NASCAR superstars like Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon every March for the Shelby 427. Also, there are more than 60 area golf courses.
Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania
This region in northeast Pennsylvania has 35 golf and resort properties (see photo of Woodloch) and two NASCAR races, the Pocono 500 in mid-June and the Pennsylvania 500 in early August.
Talladega, Alabama
Talladega is just off Interstate 20, which affords easy access to several Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses in the Birmingham area. NASCAR races at Talladega in late April in the Aaron's 499.
