Been there, done that, huh? You start singing the Back-9 Blues at about the 14th hole. The wheels come off your game because, in part, your dogs are weighed down with your cement-like shoes. And what promised to be a round to write home about leaves you limping home with another lousy card.
Time to lighten up. Nike Golf's Air Zoom Vapor golf shoe weighs only 13.8 oz. and, according to the company, is in the same lineage as Nike's Mercurial Vapor soccer boot that was introduced in 1998. The Air Zoom Vapor, Nike Golf says, is made with a one-piece microfiber upper that is lightweight, strong, waterproof and breathable.
The high-performance upper plus a full-length chassis provide stability and comfort. The synthetic upper material, says Nike Golf, is more durable than leather, more form-fitting to the foot and will not stretch over time.
Heavy hitter and light afoot. The Nike Air Zoom Vapor is built on Nike's Power Platform Ultra that, the company says, provides weight transfer and balance control for maximum power conversion to a golfer's swing. To make the shoe more lightweight, Nike Golf says the middle section of the sole is taken out for added comfort without jeopardizing stability.
