Spas: The golf getaway lifesaver
Huh? Say your significant other doesn't really share your love affair with golf. No problem. About a decade ago, golf resorts realized spas were an integral part of the resort experience. Today, you can scarcely name a top-notch golf resort that doesn't have a full-service spa. No hard-sell. Golfers don't need to hard-sell non-golfers, who can luxuriate in a spa or workout at a resort fitness center while their loved ones are roaming fairways. Treatments for golfers? Sure. In addition to a wide range of massages and facials, most resort spas offer treatments specifically designed for golfers. According to the International Spa Association (ISPA), men account for 31 percent of all spa goers. Tip: In your pre-trip golf vacation planning, research thoroughly to make sure the golf courses and accompanying spas are equal in quality level and overall experience.
