Hail to Hush-Hush
Golf Bags!
Golf Bags!
You've probably played your share of "military golf," where you hit left, right, left, right. Not much fun. Neither is carrying a "military bag" that, with all the clubs a-clattering, makes a solitary golf trooper sound like a battalion in lockstep on the fairway.
Prayers to the Deity of Low-Decibels were answered with the release of "quiet" bags. These bags, such as the new BagBoy Clip-Lok and Sun Mountain's Zero G and H2NO, come fully equipped with hush-hush.
The 5.1-lb. Clip-Lok stand bag has a 10-inch oval organizer with full-length box dividers. The 14 individual rubber locks secure the club shaft, preventing unnecessary noise and club damage during play. It has a shock-absorbent, dual shoulder strap and an ergonomically molded carry handle. The reinforced impact-resistant legs have triangular "shoes" that prevent the legs from poking into the turf.
The Clip-Lok features 11 pockets, including a lined valuables pocket with waterproof zipper; an insulated water bottle pocket; a carabiner towel ring, a Velcro glove holder; a rain hood; and several "whatever" storage pockets.
The $140 Clip-Lok is available in black, black/royal/white; black/red/gray; black/orange/white; black/royal/gray; and black/apple green.
