Dog Thrown From Truck, Survives |
Don't worry—we didn't actually throw Fido out of a moving truck to test the claims that Ruff Tough Kennels' canine travel crates will keep your dog safe in the event of an accident. But we did watch their super-cool video where they launched their crates out of the back of a pickup to see if they live up to their name. The verdict is: Fido probably would have survived.
The guys at Rotomold, a plastics manufacturing company out of Tea, South Dakota, saw a need for user-friendly travel crates that would provide a higher level of protection for their dogs. They talked to outfitters and dog trainers, and what they learned went into building a better mousetrap. Constructed from one-piece, heavy-duty polyethylene plastic, Ruff Tough crates are tough as nails. Heck, they even shot them up with a 12-gauge shotgun to test their durability.
Don't worry—they removed Fido first.
