Turn zucchini into tomatoes. Or carrots into cabbage. Or corn into zinnias. You can do it. But you need Veggie Trader.

No, it's not a genetic modification machine for the home gardener. It's an easy-to-use Web site for folks who want to trade, sell, or buy excess garden produce.

Say you have a wheelbarrow full of zucchini and even chocolate chips can't tempt you to bake another loaf of z-bread. Head to www.veggietrader.com and see if someone nearby is ready to chuck a bushel of perfectly fine tomatoes because the thought of canning another dozen jars is revolting. You get their tomatoes, and they get your zucchini. Brilliant, no?
