How to Mow

phrase "the lazy days of summer" must not have had a
lawn. For most homeowners, much of the season's leisure
time is spent mowing. And though some of us enjoy
cutting the grass in the spring, by August it can become
a dreaded chore.
But don't give on up the idea
of a relaxing summer. Follow these six tips to make
mowing less time-consuming so you can free up more time
for slacking.
1. Adjust the
terrain Survey your landscape and determine
places where you can improve mowing efficiency and
safety. For example, steep slopes can be dangerous to
mow, so add a retaining wall or a terraced structure to
these areas, or plant alternative ground cover such as
clover or juniper so you won't have to mow
them.
A bumpy lawn is difficult to mow and can
result in uneven cutting. Sometimes a bumpy yard is
caused by burrowing animals such as moles...
